Almost Time

Are you limbered up yet? It’s almost here ya know. Do you think we can make it? Do you think I’ll do anything more than whine? All this and more will be answered starting tomorrow. Don’t blame me if you pull a muscle. This may be the scariest thing I’ve ever done. BOO!

I’ve never done it before. Do you think I’m ready? Is it worth a shot??

  • TifaniNovember 1, 2009 - 12:29 am

    I’m thinking about it….

Ow! I think I pulled something just from reading this.

I don’t think I’m ready but nonetheless I’m kind of looking forward to it.

I figure that optimism might last through the third or fourth day…

Gearing Up

Okay imaginary friends, start limbering up. We have exactly six days until NaBloPoMo. This is the 4th year I will be participating and I think my hardest, as I am completely out of practice of posting regularly. So let’s start with some deep knees bends and of course, don’t forget the hammy’s. Every strenuous activity...

Hmmmm maybe I will play too.

I’m in again. I think. I have been trying to post more regularly this month for warm-up. Good luck…will it really be the FOURTH year? How sad is it when NaBloPoMo makes you feel old?

I found out from NaBloPoMo from you – and did it for the first time 3 years ago, right after giving birth. It was one of the only things that kept me going during that dark time, when all I wanted to do was hide. Thank you – you really were a life saver:)

All About the Pictures

So I had this anniversary recently. Maybe you’ve heard? And it was incredible. Driving down to New Orleans in this Shooting a trash the dress session ending with this Wandering around Magazine street, shopping and snapping some of the best pictures of my life. Like this one Yeah, I have no idea who he is,...

Those are incredible – yours AND Becky’s. I want to wall paper MY house with them and you don’t even live here.

  • JeffOctober 23, 2009 - 10:45 am

I’m so glad you had a good time.

I’m still waiting for my Bread Pudding!!

  • Masked MomOctober 23, 2009 - 3:10 pm

I didn’t wait til my 10th to trash my dress–I dropped a stuffed shell on it at the reception (Hint: Never serve red sauce at a wedding.), which is just as well cuz I wouldn’t have fit in it at ten years anyway. I agree with Becky–kudos to you both for not only fitting in them but looking great. The pictures were amazing.

My, my, what good looking people we have here. Thanks for letting me help you trash your dress. 🙂 It was a ton of fun! And, thanks for your compliments–you are very kind! Looking forward to seeing you again!

What an awesome idea! I’m so glad I stalked your blog today. I love, love, LOVE the pictures. Our 10 year is next year. You may have started a revolution! It will be hard for me to resist copying you. My dress is just collecting dust and I’m too cheap to get it cleaned and preserved in one of those dress boxes. How FUN!!!

In Praise of the CFO of DRY Ink

This week Jeff and I begin a march towards our 10 year anniversary on Thursday. This march involves ballet classes, football practice, early dismissal and work for Jeff. (Don’t hate our glamorous life.) But while all that must be endured, we will be leaving Wednesday for a 4 star hotel in New Orleans and a...

It looks like you can write a pretty fancy and flowery letter yourself when you want to. You kind of put mine to shame.

  • JeffOctober 13, 2009 - 9:01 am

That’s sweet. But please! I’ve got a carefully crafted reputation as a grumpy old man, and you’re going to ruin it!

  • TifaniOctober 14, 2009 - 12:18 pm

Yeah, I guess Jeff is all right. I mean, all things considering….

If We Can’t Have Fall, At Least We Can Have Football

I love the concentration on the kids faces in this one.

I’m in Louisiana too and have been whining about the lack of fall weather. It’s sad when I get excited about highs in the low 80s.

  • ErikaOctober 12, 2009 - 8:51 am

It is sad indeed Melissa. Maybe if we wish together, fall will show up? Thanks for stopping by.
