One Down, Five To Go

Over the holiday break I managed to wrestle Joe from Tifani’s grasp, and let me just tell you, I’ve had easier times wrestling bears in the wild. With my hard earned time, I managed to teach him how to shave, and convince him that he wanted to “stay the night for a year.” In my...

    Where to start?!

First of all, I LOVE your new background and header. “Where successful parenting ends” haha haha Mainly it is hilarious because you are an awesome mom and one of the few people I think could do a good job raising my kids.

Second, FABULOUS pictures! Holy cow! I totally LOVE them! And really, we did super appreciate Joseph mentioning staying the night for a year every 15 minutes. He really did a great job at follow through on that.

Third, profound insight about Jacob. And you know where I am on that, too. So glad the Sants kids can help you with your self-insight. I prefer to eat whenever I start getting reflective. Or sleep. Good on ya, mate.

    Fourth, thanks, man.

Oh, and if we had named Sari Elizabeth she would probably believe she had just been born into the wrong family because you weren’t ready to have her yet. I anticipate waking up one morning to a note that she has moved in with you :).

Oh my goodness. I love this so much I can hardly stand it!

And, I’m very impressed that these young men handled a straight razor better than my husband.

They’re adorable. The razor thing stops being cute when three or four of them are leaving stubble in the sink but I think you’ve got a while yet. 🙂

Seven Extravaganza!

Emie, Well crap, I’m late with your birthday letter. Again. It’s your fault really, for being born in the middle of hurricane season and the start of school. Actually, now that I’m thinking about it and what a rough pregnancy you were, YOU should be writing ME birthday letters. Get on that will you? So...

So sweet, I may have teared up a little. I LOVE the pictures of the piercing – you can tell your brave little cherub that I am almost 30 and have yet to get my ears pierced because I am a big fraidy cat. How on earth do you spell fraidy? Anywho, congratulations on surviving 7 years of girl!!!

She sounds like a great girl. And good grief…she is a beauty. So, by the way, is that cake! Super jealous that you get to make cute girl cakes like that (or at least order then from Janell.

Continuing In Truth

After running errands, including Target, Lowe’s, registering Jacob to take the GED, (again), doing dishes, laundry, feeding the cherubs breakfast and lunch, uploading files, sending work emails, calling the LPC board to check my status, (again), and installing trim in the mudroom, (all while possibly complaining about it), (loudly), (possibly), Emie said: “There’s a lot...

You have the love the simple truths that children dole out unthinkingly.

  • JeffJuly 23, 2009 - 10:01 am

Eight is Great

Jax, Happy happy birthday. Today was a really big day for you, and everyone turned out in droves to help celebrate. In fact, I have spent half a utility bill on cakes and cake like confections, because everyone and their brother wanted to celebrate this momentous occasion with you. That, and they wanted cake. In...

I Know Pretty People

*I was going to post these tomorrow, so as not to double post, but I just can’t wait. We make this look good.* Saturday, we headed out to the State Capitol for a family photo shoot. Our photographer took some fantastic pictures. Becky treated me to a sneak preview, and now you get to see...

You found her when she did that post and had pictures taken that fast? Or you found her by randomly clicking on Lexi’s blog list? Either way…great pictures. As I stated on facebook, I am jealous.

  • ErikaMay 12, 2009 - 3:22 pm

No, Lexi has button for her on her blog. I was checking out several photogs in the area. I checked out her work, we emailed back and forth, then set up the shoot. We’ve been arranging this since March, before the ski trip. It just took me that long to get it together. (Me not her.)

Yeah, I’ll take credit for them. All of them.
