THE BLOG
I’m a soocer mom. I guess I’ll get the hair cut and mini van next week.
Me: You know, your daddy has to leave tomorrow and I’m really gonna miss him. Emie: Yea, me too, but last least he’s not taking me. (psst: pictures are up at Flickr)
The cherubs are currently in their room peeling the paint off the walls with their screams of horror and terror. You see at four oh six pm, I asked them to clean up their room in preparation for company coming over. New company. Company that has never been here before, ie a potential new friend...
Isn’t it nice to know they’ve got your back?
So? How did it go??? 🙂
Not so great really. I screwed dinner all up, app.s came out the same time as main course. I forgot to even serve the dessert, and I’m pretty sure I talked waaaaay to much. Sigh. This is why I don’t do new people, they are just so damn much work.
Timing dinner is a bitch of a thing. I betcha it wasn’t as bad as you think it was. She was probably full of her own self-critique, too. It’s human nature!
Today I snuck out side and risked life and limb, (okay maybe just 100 degree temperatures and cherub wraths) to take these pictures. I don’t know why I find them so funny, but I do. Those people REALLY are entertaining to watch. Especially if they don’t KNOW that you are watching them. I even manage...
I am now the proud parent of a Gifted and Talented cherub. Jack was tested a couple of weeks ago. About a week ago I got a phone call that Jack had missed the GT classification by 2 points. Okay, moving on. But . . . This morning the school board called ME and apologized....
This doesn’t surprise me AT ALL. Look at the genes he had to work with! 😉
Way to go Jack. I love that he can bask in the joy of his accomplishments.
Of course he’s gifted and talented–you’re doing a great job on the parenting and he KNOWS it! That’s gotta count for something. 😉
No…please not the hair cut….please!
Ok…I can handle the minivan (Hey, I like them, ok??)
NOT THE HAIR. I agree with Leah. You must stay cool, hip and pink! (Well, you can change the pink when you get sick of it, but only if you move on to the next hip thing)
Sorry BFB, you are too cool to ever be THAT soccer mom. It’s impossible.
