Gordon B. Hinckley

I am sad. I have been sad all day.

The president of the LDS church died yesterday. Being a convert to the church, he is the third president since I have been a member, but the first I have really developed a connection with, a true testimony of. He is certainly the first I was privileged to actually see in person. It was an amazing experience. It is impossible not to want to live a better life, to be a better human once you have know that man, felt his spirit and learned his teachings. His wittings have inspired me like nothing else. I wish I had the words to properly tell the world what we lost yesterday.

In honor of him, in 2008 I will be more grateful, smart, clean, true, humble and prayerful.

I am sad. I will miss our prophet.

He was the Grandpa you wish you had. He was the sweetest, dearest man I have ever seen. He was my first prophet (since I converted in 2001) and he will hold a special place in my heart. Thanks for your tribute.

We will all miss him. It’s hard to describe the feeling that has come over Utah since last night. He was a wonderful man and we were blessed to have been led by him.

He was awesome. I loved him. I called him the “PR Prophet” because he completely changed things regarding growth, leadership and reaching out to non-mormons during his leadership.

Plus? He was just a kind man.

    You could tell.

I am glad he gets to be with his wife, though. I think he really missed her.
