State of the Family Address II

As I continue to suffer with non-writers, writers block. I thought I would just share an update on the family I gave to my wonderful uncle in Florida. Hey it’s time for a state of the family address anyway.
Anyone got a bushel basket of drugs? No? Okay just thought I’d ask away. But frankly with a 15 yr old, a 5 yr old and a 3 1/2 yr old I could use some. Probably more than you have, probably enough to kill me.

I am being facetious. We are all fine, well except that 15 year old cherub who just doesn’t seem to think this whole school thing is really important, not as important as chasing girls and playing baseball and riding his dirt bike, anyway. He may in fact be enjoying the 8th grade again next year. Hey it worked out so well in 6th grade, why not try it again?

The 5 year old cherub is in fact turning 5 on Wednesday. He is the exact opposite from Jacob. Jack is starting to read, knows all the numbers in English and Spanish and can do basic addition and subtraction, all before he starts kindergarten next year. He also loves baseball, which requires me driving all over this Katrina infested town, several times a week.

Emie, the girl cherub, well we are relying on her good looks. Which might work out because her current life goal is to be a ballerina? She is all girl and only worries about girlie things, like how many outfits she can wear in one day and working on her piles. Oh yea, and her hair, did I mention her hair?
Jeff is enjoying a job where he is running a management company that owns or manages about 5 companies. He is completely over worked. He averages 70 hour weeks. I am less than pleased, but so goes life, I guess.

Mother’s day was one of the worst of my life. The cherubs, especially Jacob, were complete asses. I can’t complain that loudly though, because obviously, their behavior is only a reflection of my spectacular parenting skills. In the mist of trying to control the cherub group, I am attempting to procure employment at a local private school, where in exchange for a salary; I will get tuition for the entire cherub group. I haven’t heard anything back yet, and must say I am on pins and needles. This may have something to do with my completely foul mood. And make no mistake about it; I am in a foul mood. So this is the current state of the affairs here at DRY Ink. Happy fucking mother’s day to all.
